A buried stone wall and 12,000 sq ft of unusable brush turned into open, walkable pine woods in two days.

Original condition
The rear third of the lot had grown in with briars, bittersweet and a thicket of oak and maple saplings. A stone wall marking the rear boundary was completely buried.
The owner's goal
Open the back of the property for family use, expose the stone wall and keep the mature white pines standing.
Our approach
Mulched the understory in two passes, working from the lawn edge back to the wall, leaving mature pines and healthy oaks. Material was processed on site and left as a mulch layer instead of being hauled away.
